Qualified Supervision for LCSW Licensure
As a Qualified Supervisor, I will integrate several models and theories in our work together. I will utilize a person-centered approach integrated with some REBT and CBT methods such as role playing and assigning homework to bridge from one session to another. Our sessions will remain confidential and will I will always foster a safe learning environment for the intern to grow as a clinician.
Supervision will utilize the models of Interactional Supervision which is a reciprocal relationship based on complexity of needs, while acknowledging that our relationship in supervision will affect client care. I will combine the Interactional Supervision Model with the Interpersonal Process Recall when focusing on the interns’ thoughts and feelings on client care while facilitating the interns’ understanding of themselves and the client.
